Approaching the site as an urban garden, we have retained the existing timber and brick structure inserting a contemporary design utilizing a rich palette of materials into the former industrial space. The Zealous diner enters through large glazed doors under a steel and glass canopy, then crosses a slate bridge between two rivers of black glass mosaics as a gateway to the new Zealous Restaurant and an escape from the city pressures. Our design reflects the energy and excitement of chef/owner Michael Taus’ original food and philosophy of fine dining. (in association with Willam S. Leeds Architect, P.C.)
